Mountain View
has several different communities each with its own
special charm and appeal - and homes. Here are the
main communities:
Blossom Valley
This wonderful little community is comprised of four
smaller neighborhoods - Varsity Park, Blossom Valley
Estates, Springer Meadows and Gest Ranch. They
are located on either side of Cuestoa Drive between
Springer and Road and Miramonte Avenue. These
neighborhoods were built in the 1950's on what was
previously orchards. There are small community groups
within the neighborhoods and the communities are generally
tight-knit. Parts of Blossom Valley report to the
highly-rated Los Altos school district. If you want

Cuesta
Park This popular part of Mountain View has many
beautiful homes and, of course, Cuesta Park! This
area was where the Bubb family orchards were located and
the homes there report to Bubb Elementary School.
The Cuesta Park Neighborhood Association has an annual
picnic that is very popular. If you want to know

Monta Loma
The homes in this part of Mountain View are almost all
single-story. Monta Loma borders the Mayfield Mall
site which used to be a Hewlett-Packard facility and is
now slated as a huge development by Toll Brothers with a
mix of single-family homes and condos. If you want to know

Old
Mountain View, or Downtown Mountain View is what the
city is best-known for. The center of downtown Mountain View is Castro Street which is 8
blocks long and has over 80 wonderful restaurants.
Many of them have European-style outdoor seating which
makes the downtown area a very popular destination on warm
summer nights. The neighborhoods surrounding the
Castro Street area are just fantastic with many
hundred-year old houses with a lot of charm and character.
The downtown area has been featured in national
publications as a very walkable community. There is
a train station, a bus depot, all sorts of shops and
restaurants as well as many small parks and the very large
Eagle Park. Many
streets in the downtown area have annual block parties
where residents get together to have some fun. If

Rex Manor
was built by Willam Blackfield in the 1950's. The
homes are mostly two and three bedroom homes and
originally sold for under $8,000.
Waverly Park
This part of Mountain View was developed in the 1960's and
has many 4 and 5 bedroom homes. For many years
there was a large remaining farm along Grant Road that
locals called the "Pumpkin Patch" because of it's
wonderful Halloween pumpkin sales and hayrides. It
was recently sold off for development but has not yet been
developed. Within the Waverly Park
neighborhood there is an actual park called Cooper Park
that is very popular. The Waverly Park neighborhood
has a big 4th of July celebration where neighbors get
together and have fun. Waverly Park has the coveted
Huff Elementary School. If you want to know more

Whisman
Area The Whisman area of Mountain View is
bordered by Highway 237, Central
Expressway and Whisman Road. The homes in this part of
Mountain View are a mixture of newer single-family houses
and newer townhouses built on smaller lots.
The homes are built near the light rail, which is where
the "Station" comes from. The light rail begins in
Mountain View and travels to San Jose.
